Microsoft’s MapPoint® Web Service 3.5 was launched today. It’s a web application that can be used by other web sites and enterprise applications. One of the features the update includes is better support for mobile applications. Maps optimized for the smaller screens of Smartphones and Pocket PCs now can be created, providing better map display on these devices.
Now, why doesn’t Mappoint.msn.com use this? I remember seeing a beta version of Mobile Mappoint on MSN Mobile, but it’s not there anymore.
When are there going to be some traffic-conditions-aware mapping and navigation programs for the Pocket PC??
