iNav has just released two updates to their iGuidance GPS Navigation software. Version 2.1 offers:
* New N. America map (including expanded Canada coverage but excluding Alaska)
* Bug fixes for map routing along eastern coastal states
* Improved bluetooth connectivity
* Enhanced memory management to allow longer distance routing
* VGA & landscape support
* Full screen mode for laptop (full screen for ppc is already available on v2.0)
* 4 pre-defined map color options
* Enhanced 3D view
* Real time weather report (internet access required via LAN, BT, mobile phone, WI-FI, etc)
* 3 CD’s (map size approx 2.3GB)
While version 2.0.2 offers the same bug fixes and improvements minus the new maps. This version can still be used with iGuidance v2 maps and is only available to registered customers with proof of purchase.
Version 2.1 is available 3/21/05 to registered users for $79 while version 2.0.2 is available for $14 on 4/1/05. I hope that’s not an April Fools joke.
