Video: Microsoft’s Sync In-Car Computer (Part 3)

In the previous two videos on this “Sync” series we talked about the touch-screen version of the in-car computer on Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles as well as it’s Bluetooth capabilities. That version of the system also includes a voice activated GPS Navigation system that is not as well integrated as it should be.

Today we’ll look at the version of Microsoft’s Sync in-car computer that does not use a touch screen and is actually much easier to use since you don’t have to start at the main menu prompt every time you want to do a voice command.

It’s cool how when you send a text message from the car, it also adds the “This message was sent from my Ford” signature to the end of the message. In the future, you’ll be able to program your own list of text message responses and install them to the Sync system with a USB memory stick.
