InfoWorld reviews the Palm Treo Pro and gives it very high marks.
If you’re partial to Windows Mobile, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than the new Treo Pro from Palm. The BlackBerry, iPhone, and T-Mobile G1 may be the kings of smartphone cool, but if you ask me, they all share one big shortcoming: They don’t run Windows Mobile.
The Treo Pro is easily the best smartphone in the Palm line to date. It packs a fresh design, multiple radios, GPS, and a decent screen; still, there’s nothing that stands out from flashy competitors such as iPhone. By matching the competition’s features, Palm may keep longtime customers from defecting. And sticking with the proven Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional nabs business-friendly features while eliminating the problems associated with newer user interfaces.
Personally, I kind of like the Treo 800w a little better for it’s more pronounced hardware buttons and speed, but the Treo Pro is very similar and a bit better looking.
