If you’ve been watching Heroes on NBC, you may have noticed something interesting on the season finale this week. Noah Bennet has upgraded his phone to the Sprint Touch Diamond, from the Palm Treo 800w he’s been using. I’m not sure that was a wise decision, since the Touch Diamond doesn’t have a hardware keyboard or quite as much one-handed usability and speed as the Palm Treo 800w, but we also discover that Noah’s adopted daughter, Claire, is now using that same Palm Treo 800w. Obviously, this is a case of parent to sibling smartphone hand-me-downs, which often tends to be a great way to get started with learning something as super-hero-worthy as a Windows Phone.
Have you ever given or received a smartphone as a hand-me-down?
