Back in April, AOL started releasing a beta of their MyMobile software for Windows Mobile which included AOL Instant Messenger functionality.
Now, they’ve started a beta for a new stand-along AOL Instant Messenger client called MobileAIM. It should work with all Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices both Standard and Professional versions.
Click on to sign up and download the beta.
The new client shows contact ID icons, but does not offer any kind of file transfer or voice communications. It is also highly animated and slow. I kind of wish they could have just updated the nice and fast AIM client they had for Windows Mobile in 2004.
