Live Mesh for Windows Mobile Now In Public Beta

While the first beta of the Windows Mobile Live Mesh client posted the other day didn’t work at all, a fix was posted later that day, and now many Windows Mobile devices can connect to Live Mesh. As you can see from the screen shot below, the Treo 800w has been added to my mesh. By default, when installing Live Mesh on Windows Mobile, it creates a Mobile Pictures folder which automatically syncs with your …

Happy Halloween! (Star Trek Style)

If you’re going out to a costume party tonight wearing a Star Trek uniform (and you probably are), don’t forget to dress up your favorite Windows Mobile device as a Star Trek Tricorder. ScaryBear Software has a great little program that makes your phone look and sound like a Tricorder straight out of Star Trek. I don’t see a lot of people standing up and saying they prefer and like using Windows Mobile, but I know there are lots of people out there that do enjoy using this …

Chronicles of a Windows Mobile User Gone Android G1 (part 2)

The coolest new thing that the T-Mobile G1 is able to show off is the Google Maps Street View with digital compass mode. We’ve never seen anything like this before on any other platform. What this does is allows you to select a location on the map (blue highlights indicate street views that are available), and then load panoramic photographic views of that location. Then when you turn on compass mode, you can physically turn …
