As many of you already know, I proposed the design of an “Ultimate Digital Assistant” back in 2003, which also included a detachable Bluetooth headset: “The Bluetooth headset clips into the back of the PDA when not in use. It’s internal battery is charged through the PDA when attached to AC power. This negates the need for multiple charging cables. The Bluetooth headset will automatically power on and connect to the PDA’s headset profile when …

The Diamond’s Screen Shut Off Problem is a Feature
A number of people have been complaining about how the Touch Diamond’s screen shuts off very quickly after you make a call. It turns out that’s actually part of an almost very intelligent feature. As realized by yelitterulez at xda-developers, when making a call the screen stays on if you leave the phone lying flat on a table. Click on to sign up and download the beta. The new client shows contact ID icons, but does not offer any kind of …

A number of users at XDA-developers are reporting TomTom version 7 is including on their Touch Diamond models. The new version obviously supports the newer version 7 map sets. There is also a new “Help Me” menu that will guide you to help related services. Of special interest is a Quick Menu, that shows a large button on screen in the map view which you can customize to have one specific function, or bring up …
