Verizon Wireless Motorola Q9m: Day 4

The Motorola Q9m was actually my first chance to really use a CDMA/EVDO phone. I got to compare it a bit to my GSM reception in the areas that I normally go. In general, the Verizon service showed exactly the same number of reception bars as my T-Mobile phone in the same areas. Sometimes one less (in my home), sometimes one more. The internet access speeds did vary some however. At work I would only …

HTC Juno Coming to T-Mobile USA

Remember the HTC Juno? It is most certainly going to T-Mobile USA. While Juno is the codename, we haven’t got word of the official launch name yet. It’s a Windows Mobile based device and has a “consumer friendly interface, most likely HTC’s TouchFlo,” says our source. The “Personalize My Q” icon is of special interest. This contains a number of program icons that help you customize …

Verizon Wireless Motorola Q9m: Day 2

Not only does Verizon’s Q9m offer some great hardware changes over the Motorola Q9h, but Verizon has also added some very welcome software enhancements. The most noticable is the media player home screen. The default home screen is a very nicely designed media player. You can access you’re whole MP3 library to play music, watch videos, and look at pictures. Of course there’s also track controls, and volume controls. Of special interest is the ability …
