Speech to Text Transcribing Service for Emails and Text Messages

I just recieved an email from a friend which said, “Hey Adam, this is a test of the Jott. Just wanted to show you how it works.” He had just tested out this new service called Jott which will transcribe a phone call into a text message. Here’s how it works. You call Jott’s phone number, you say the name of the person you want to send a message to, then speak your message. Jott’s …

Verizon Wireless Motorola Q9m: Day 4

The Motorola Q9m was actually my first chance to really use a CDMA/EVDO phone. I got to compare it a bit to my GSM reception in the areas that I normally go. In general, the Verizon service showed exactly the same number of reception bars as my T-Mobile phone in the same areas. Sometimes one less (in my home), sometimes one more. HTC Juno Coming to T-Mobile USA

Remember the HTC Juno? It is most certainly going to T-Mobile USA. While Juno is the codename, we haven’t got word of the official launch name yet. Thoughts on the HTC TyTN II’s GPS Navigation Capabilities

I was originally a bit skeptical about the HTC TYTN II’s GPS capabilities. I was expecting it to be kind of a poor implementation similar to what happened with the Trinity. I mean you can’t possibly fit all the features of the TyTN II into one device and have everything work perfectly, right? Well, I’m a bit surprised to say it, but the TYTN II is very likely the best GPS Navigation system I have …

Verizon Wireless Motorola Q9m: Day 3

Verizon’s new Home screen and VCast software isn’t the only difference in the Motorola Q9m. There’s also a few other interesting bundled applications as well as a few that are missing. You’ve got a “Get Applications” shortcut that brings you do the Handango website. The “Wireless Sync” program lets you download Verizon’s Wireless Sync software. The “Personalize My Q” icon is of special interest. This contains a number of program icons that help you customize …
