Have you ever wanted a printer with a big tablet screen and a Microsoft CoPilot AI Chatbot to interact with? Too bad, that’s what you’re getting. We will continue to add CoPilot to things until moral improves. Haha! But seriously, HP is bringing Microsoft CoPilot and Microsoft 365 to HP printers in 2026.
You’ll be able to log into the printer right there on the touch screen with your Microsoft 365 tenant log-in info and access all of your OneDrive documents for printing. If you have a CoPilot license associated with that account, you’ll have CoPilot AI features right there on the little printer touch screen as well. So you can summarize documents, translate them, etc. while scanning or before printing. There will also be guided redaction features for automatically blocking out sensitive information from getting printed. You can scan-to-email with a nice AI summary of the scanned documents added to the email.
You probably won’t want to use this in a law firm or medical facility scenario though as it’s a pretty big security risk letting 3rd party AI models look through all of that private information that’s supposed to be secure.
