How to Fix the TouchFLO Bug in the new TyTN II’s Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM

For some, HTC’s recent release of the new Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrade has caused more problems than it solves. One of the bugs in the new ROM is with the TouchFLO feature. The problem is that when you put your finger on the screen and drag, it actually performs both the scrolling function and activates the thing that you put your finger on. So, you might get both some scrolling and a context-sensitive menu. Or an application might launch unintentionally.

This is due to a registry setting that has increased the TouchFLO sensitivity so that you don’t have to press as hard with your finger to activate the scrolling.

In order to fix this major annoyance and bring it back to normal, you can use KaiserTweak or Schap’s Advanced Config or you can use any registry editor and change the following key:

HKLMDriversTouchPanel

PressureThreshold=200
