Info on the Motorola MPx’s Memory Arrangement

Brighthand has posted some interesting news regarding the memory arrangment in the Motorola MPx. Apparently, it will have 64Mb of non-volitile RAM which will be used to store installed applications and user documents. Brighthand calls it ROM, but it’s not really Read-Only Memory. The operating system will reside in a separate ROM area. There will also be 32Mb of volitile RAM that will be used for running applications. This set-up is similar to desktop computers, where your applications don’t need to be reinstalled if you lose power.
