So yesterday I went snowboarding in the Catskills of NY and took my new Belkin Bluetooth GPS receiver along with my imate Phone Edition 2003. With the GPS receiver in Xtrac mode sitting in my pocket I was able to see my altitude. Recording my GPS tracks allowed me to keep track of my speed while snowboarding down the slopes. Turns out I was going about 20-25mph. Attached photo was taken with the XDA II at an altitude of 2945ft. Yes, I am wearing a Scott eVest.
I wonder what it would say if I recorded a track while skydiving. What other fun things can we do with GPS?
