How to Sync Multiple Google Calendars in WP7 Mango Beta
In our Ultimate Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Preview, we were unable to get multiple Google calendars to show up in the new Windows Phonen Calendar app. Since Google uses Exchange Activesync for their push calendar, contacts, and email features on mobile devices, and since Microsoft has broadly enabled multiple calendar syncing on Windows Phone Mango, you would think that it would just work in the same way that it does with Windows Live and regular …
Continue readingVisual Voicemail in Windows Phone Mango (Video)
One of the things that we didn’t get to see in our Ultimate Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Preview was the visual voicemail enhancements since I don’t think it was set up on the AT&T account we were using. As it turns out, when you have voicemail messages waiting and you tap your “phone” live tile, you’ll see a “Voicemail” pivot along the same axis as the call history. Continue readingWindows Phone 7.5 Mango Landscape Support (Video)
Back when the original Windows Phone 7 was released, one of the most annoying things about it was the lack of landscape view support especially on devices like the HTC Pro 7, HTC Arrive, and LG Quantum which included a landscape sliding keyboard. Unfortunately landscape support was very inconsistent. What has changed in Windows Phone 7.5 Mango? Well, it turns out, not so much. We’ve been told that Mango will include enhanced landscape support, but …
Continue readingGPS Tuner’s Navigation App Now With Offline Maps
We were pretty impressed with GPS Tuner’s original Turn-by-Turn Navigation app for Windows Phone 7 which nicely gave us voice prompts while driving to a destination. Today the app was updated in the Marketplace with some excellent new features. The big one is support for downloading offline maps! If you set a destination, then go to the menu at the bottom and tap “Download Map”, you’ll see a nice little interface that will allow you …
