Google’s Android Runs On Windows Mobile

This is pretty interesting. Some folks at XDA-Developers have managed to get a build of Google’s Android operating system running on Windows Mobile. Check out a video here. We’re not talking about replacing the ROM here, we’re talking about opening Linux as if it was a Windows Mobile Application and then loading Android within that. Since I’m pretty sure there’s nothing that Android can do that Windows Mobile can’t already do right now, it’s probably …

Chronicles of a Windows Mobile User Gone Blackberry: Part 1

Today I received a T-Mobile Blackberry 8820. It’s my first attempt at really getting to know a Blackberry device. I have not even gotten through setup of email or syncing or anything. After installing the desktop software it told me I need to reboot and I can’t do that yet so it will have to wait. Maybe there will be a market for magnifying glass attachments. There’s a ton of …

Both Standard and Professional versions are available. The bad news is: Windows Live Messenger is not included …

AOL Brings AIM Back to Windows Mobile

It’s been years and years since AOL released an Instant Messaging program for Windows Mobile. Heck, back then it was called Windows CE and Pocket PC. Now, AOL has released an AOL MyMobile beta program that includes instant messaging and email reading along with some other neat content like weather, MapQuest, MovieFone, CityGuide, AOL Pictures, Contacts, Sports, and News. If you’re still an AOL user, this looks like the program you’ve been waiting for to …
