HTC TyTN II with WM6 Professional
INTRODUCTION It's been a while since a Windows Mobile device has been as long awaited and as well anticipated as the HTC Kaiser, which has now been released as the HTC TyTN II. I don't think there's been as much excitement about a Windows Mobile Pocket PC since the XDA II, four years ago. The Motorola Q9m was actually my first chance to really use a CDMA/EVDO phone. I got to compare it a bit to my GSM reception in the areas that I normally go. In general, the Verizon service showed exactly the same number of reception bars as my T-Mobile phone in the same areas. Sometimes one less (in my home), sometimes one more. The internet access speeds did vary some however. At work I would only …
Continue readingThoughts on the HTC TyTN II’s Bluetooth Capabilities
Not many other sites have reported on the Bluetooth capabilities of the HTC TyTN II. I guess most people figure Bluetooth is Bluetooth. Most phones do come with Bluetooth, so it must be all the same, right? Well, HTC devices have been notoriously poor performers in the Bluetooth reception area. You would likely get static if you walked into another room while wearing a headset or even just putting the phone in your pocket opposite …
