HP Inc. has unveiled the HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16, a new mobile workstation designed to serve as a “personal AI factory” for professionals. Co-engineered with AMD and enhanced by Perplexity, this thin-and-light 16-inch device is built to bridge the gap between AI experimentation and production. By combining workstation-class performance with local AI capabilities, HP aims to help professionals apply agentic AI to their most demanding workloads without the friction of fragmented tools or cloud dependency.
At the heart of the ZBook Ultra G3a 16 is the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, which enables the laptop to run advanced workloads locally. The system supports up to 300B-parameter Large Language Models (LLMs) and features a thermal design that delivers up to 100W of performance. Key specifications include up to 192GB of unified memory and 160GB of dedicated VRAM, along with a 55 TOPS NPU. This configuration allows users to simultaneously run complex AI models, agents, and professional applications, all within a portable form factor that starts at 4.2 lbs. and 17.9 mm thick.
The workstation is also engineered to integrate seamlessly into existing professional workflows. It comes preloaded with Perplexity Computer, which includes a supported integration for Autodesk Revit, allowing users to apply AI to specific tasks without starting from an empty prompt box. HP and Perplexity have further co-developed task-based Skills exclusively for HP customers, designed to offload repetitive tasks. This approach ensures that proprietary data remains on-device, minimizing cloud token costs and allowing professionals to focus more time on design and problem-solving.
