The Maplewood Spring Showcase was a nice outdoor press event held in New Jersey sponsored by WeBranding and Lightspeed PR. It showcased 46 products ranging between lawn maintenance, gaming computers, exercise equipment, tablets, TVs, ebook readers, home automation, alcoholic beverage machines, and more. Let’s take a look.
A Maingear custom gaming PC was the thing that I wanted the most. This company makes custom towers with all sorts of cool graphics or replaceable graphic panels as well as some gaming laptops.
Vaultbots is a programmable robot rental service meant for entertainment services. So you could rent a robot for a special event or such and have it programmed to dance to certain songs or whatnot.
Boox has some nice e-ink black and white as well as color ebook readers.
Xreal One glasses are similar to the Lenovo Legion Glasses. They basically have small screens on the glasses that make for a big viewing area when covering your eyes. The USB-C cable plugs into whatever has a USB-C display port so you can privately watch or work with a virtual big screen display wherever you want.
RYSE makes some interesting remote controllers for curtains or shades. Basically these are remotely controlled devices that attach to normal curtain rods or shade chain hardware and use motors to open or close the shades and curtains as controlled by an app on your smartphone. So there’s no major work replacing shades and curtains, it’s just adding a little motorized device that makes controlling them remotely very easy.
The TAO Clean ultrasonic toothbrush also has a charging base where you place the toothbrush brush-down and the base will both charge the toothbrush handle and clean the brush.
The Bartesian Professional Cocktail Maker looks kind of like a coffee machine except it makes cocktails. You can order a collection of flavor pods and fill several cannisters with alcoholic beverages, then use the device to choose the drink strength.
TCL was there too showing off their excellent Nextpaper tablets with beautiful anti-glare displays.
