Brandon posted earlier about how there already is a Windows Mobile App store, but did you know that it’s been around since 2004? And it has been bundled with certain Windows Mobile devices such as the T-Mobile Wing?
Here’s a post on MSmobiles.com, reporting on the announcement of Handango’s InHand application store for Windows Mobile devices on February 28, 2004.
If you see more technology news sites or mobile phone reviewers spreading ignorance regarding Windows Mobile’s lack of an application store, feel free to send them here for a reality check. Of course, the problem remains that very few OEMs have chosen to include Handango’s Windows Mobile app store preloaded on devices sold to the public.
