This week Google announced a new type of laptop computer called the Googlebook. They look a lot like Chromebooks, but really they’re a lot more like Android laptops. They’re basically designed to work well with an Android phone with consistent design and interface elements, plus a lot of added Google Gemini artificial intelligence integrations. All of them also have a rainbow flag lightbar on the back lid as a Google branding kind of indicator.

Acer’s Googlebook 14 has an OLED Display and 16hr battery
Acer has launched its first Googlebook, the Googlebook 14, a premium device designed for Gemini Intelligence and seamless workflows. The laptop features a vibrant 14-inch multi-touch OLED display with WQXGA resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, housed within a durable, convertible chassis. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, it includes 16GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Additional highlights include a 5MP webcam with a privacy shutter, Acer Ultra Boost Stereo speakers with DTS Audio, and a backlit keyboard. The device offers MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability and up to 16 hours of battery life, making it available at Best Buy for $899.99.
HP’s Googlebook 14 has Snapdragon X Elite and 3K OLED Display
HP has announced the HP Googlebook 14, a premium laptop designed to bring the best of HP craftsmanship and the performance of the Snapdragon X Elite processor to the new Googlebook experience. The device features a stunning 3K OLED touch display, a 5MP camera, and quad speakers with HP Audio Boost 2.0, all housed in an ultra-thin, lightweight design. Dell’s XPS Googlebook has a 13″ screen and 12.7mm thickness
Dell Technologies has introduced the XPS Googlebook, a premium 13-inch laptop designed specifically for Google’s Gemini Intelligence.
