With the new Intel Core Ultra series processors being available now, everyone is releasing new computers that make use of the new processors and their new Neural Processing Unit chips that are designed to help with machine learning model processing which everyone is calling “AI” these days. Most of these new laptops also come with a new key on the keyboard that’s made for launching Microsoft’s Copilot app, and the Portégé X40-M is no exception.
The new Dynabook Portégé X40-M is the latest release with the new Core Ultra processors. You can choose between the Intel Core Ultra H28 up to the Core Ultra 7 165H. You can also get up to 64Gb of LPDDR5 RAM, Intel Arc graphics processing, and up to a 2Tb PCIe NVMe SSD. You’ve also got a choice of 720p, 5Mp, 5Mp + IR, or IR with Windows Hello facial recognition web cameras. There’s a 60 Wh Li-Polymer battery, i219 RJ-45 ethernet connection, WiFi 6E AX211, Bluetooth, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a microphone/headset jack. There’s even a MicroSD card slot for expanding storage.
The screen is a 14″ WUXGA 1920×1200 display with an optional touch panel and the beautiful Tech Blue Metallic aluminum alloy chassis is 313.2 x 221.75 x 18.6 millimeters and it weighs about 1.44 kilograms (3.17lbs).
